How Rankings Work
Every team has a rank position (rank 1 = top of the ladder). Rankings change only through match results — no points or scores determine your position, only wins and losses.
When a challenger wins, they take the defeated team's position and everyone between them shifts down by one spot.
Issuing a Challenge
- You may challenge any team ranked up to 3 positions above you.
- You cannot challenge teams below you or more than 3 spots above.
- Maximum 2 challenges per month against the same team.
- You can only have one active challenge at a time. Finish or cancel it first.
Accepting a Challenge
- The challenged team receives an email and must accept or decline within 3 days.
- Failure to respond counts as a walkover and adds a strike against the team.
- After 3 walkover strikes, the team is moved to the bottom of the ladder.
Match Format
- One match = one set. Play as many games as fit within one hour.
- You must win by at least 2 games (e.g. 6–4, 7–5, 8–6).
- Matches must be played on Padel Island courts only. Playing elsewhere = disqualification.
- Both teams must agree on a time and play within 7 days of the challenge being accepted.
Reporting the Score
- After the match, either team submits the result through the dashboard.
- The opposing team receives an email and has 48 hours to confirm or dispute.
- If not confirmed within 48 hours, the score is auto-confirmed and the ladder updates.
- If you submitted the wrong score by mistake, you can retract it before the opponent responds.
Disputes
If you believe the submitted score is incorrect, click Dispute in your dashboard. The admin is notified immediately and will review the result. The admin's decision is final — both teams are notified by email once resolved.
Venue Requirement
All ladder matches must be played at Padel Island courts. Matches played elsewhere will not count and may result in disqualification.
Inactivity
Teams that don't issue or accept challenges will fall behind as active teams climb past them. The admin may manually adjust rankings for long-term inactive teams. To leave the ladder entirely, contact the admin — your match history will be preserved.
